Bridging the Gap

Welcome!

Welcome to the website of the Stuyvesant Student Union! The SU is the student government of Stuyvesant High School, and we aim to bridge the gap between students, faculty, and administration. In doing so, we hope to foster a strong sense of community and improve the experience of every student at Stuyvesant.

On our website, you can learn about some of the projects we're working on, access some academic resources (including textbooks), and contact us with questions and concerns. We also encourage you to follow us on our social media accounts for the most up to date information!

Hi everyone,

Hope you’re all excited for Thanksgiving!

This is your last chance to be featured in a “video of gratitude” for the Stuyvesant faculty who have worked so hard to adapt school to our unique remote/blended environment. We hope you take this opportunity to show your appreciation for teachers, counselors, and other staff by submitting a picture or short video through this form.

As per the DOE’s latest announcements, all students will be learning remotely until further notice.

Here’s a message from the Stuy Librarians: Take a "scroll" through our virtual hallway! One thing we miss from being at Stuyvesant together is browsing all the book posters along the hallway to the Library entrance and outside of classrooms. Now, we can catch up with what Stuy faculty, admins and staff have been reading lately! Make sure to click on the books to learn more about them. Thanks to Juniors Leo Lin and Ismath Maksura and Sophomore Ilana Livshits for creating the images and updating the reading selections!

The PA is hosting a schoolwide 5k race between grades during the period November 16 -21. You and/or your family can run or walk the distance of the race anywhere, as long as the distance is covered through Strava. If you are interested in supporting the PA, please use this link to pay a $15 registration fee, and this link for further instructions.

ARISTA is in full swing with tutoring services! While the website is down, students can be matched with a tutor by emailing the VP of Operations at stuyaristaNYCops@gmail.com.

Have a great week!

Best,
