Rhys is excited to serve as SLT alternative this year! Although this is his first year with the SU, he hopes to make important changes at Stuyvesant as the bridge between students, parents, and faculty. He presented a proposal to the SLT last year, and hopes to use that experience to encourage other students to do the same. Outside SLT, Rhys is involved in Stuy's Track & Field and Parliamentary debate teams, as well as Big Sibs. Outside of school, he is often in various internships or volunteering work related to government and learning Mandarin. In his free time, he tries to play guitar and paint watercolor, but has been unsuccessful in getting very good at either.
