Preena Patel

Preena Patel is the Communications Director of the Stuyvesant Student Union. The unique experiences she gains through her extracurricular activities, interests, and engagement with her community make her passionate and enthusiastic. During her Freshman year, she especially enjoyed being a Public Forum Debater, Key Club Locksmith Assistant Director, SHA Vice President, and Spectator member in the business department.

Outside of Stuy, she is a shift leader in her internship for Yuh-Line Niou, a congressional candidate. She is involved in Columbia Undergraduate Research Symposiums, and several business fellowships. She enjoys contributing to the Next Generation Politics podcast, as well as writing economic and environmental news for NGP. She pursues her interest in marketing and outreach, having emailed professional organizations, hosted events with NYU Dems, and more. She takes pleasure in serving as a tutor for debate camps and working in diverse settings.

In her free time, you can catch her playing with her birds, watching sunsets in Manhattan, taking strolls around the block, or blasting some Kanye West.
